Los ingredientes que NO quieres en tus cosméticos. - TEIA

The ingredients you DON'T want in your cosmetics.

In one of the articles we wrote this month we promised to write about the harmful chemicals in cosmetics. What was promised is a debt so, here is the post.

First of all, we want to tell you that almost all cosmetics, even those approved by ECOCERT, which is an organization that defines the standard for natural and ecological cosmetics, have chemical components, however, there are components that are classified as toxic above certain concentrations. and that they are not healthy for the skin or the body, much less those that are used regularly.

Those are the ones we have to take care of, that's why here we give you a list of the chemicals to which you have to say a resounding NO.

sulphates

You find them in: Soaps of all kinds, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Body gels.

Due to their composition, they are responsible for removing dirt from the skin and hair, unfortunately they also eliminate their natural fats, producing dryness and weakening of them.

The silicones

You find them with the nomenclatures ending in -xane, -cone or -conol in facial and body creams, shampoos, conditioners and makeup, serums and in almost all hair products.

They are used in creams, shampoos and conditioners to produce that silky effect that we like so much. However, silicones prevent the skin and hair from breathing, hindering the natural regeneration of cells.

Parabens

You find them in practically all commercial cosmetics of all kinds. Shampoo, Cream, Conditioner, Masks, Makeup, etc.

They are the main causes of allergies and skin irritations , which is why most pharmacy products intended for sensitive skin lack them in their composition. It is used because of its low cost.

The Aluminum

You find it in deodorants and antiperspirants.

Aluminum in deodorants is directly linked to breast cancer. It has a high level of toxicity.

The fragrances

You find them in practically all commercial cosmetics of all kinds. Shampoo, Cream, Conditioner, Masks, Makeup, etc.

The problem with fragrances is that there are about 3,000 different chemicals used as fragrances, the problem is that the type is not identified, some toxic chemicals have been identified.

Phthalates

You find them mainly in nail products and perfumes.

It is a potential hormone disruptor, this means that it alters the chemistry of your hormones. Laboratory experiments have shown that, although it is not a carcinogen in itself, it can increase the ability of other chemicals to cause genetic mutations.

You already have the information, so now it's time to switch to healthier products for you and your family.

These chemicals definitely help with beauty, but are they worth it?
